Killeshandra break-in being investigated

An investigation has been launched after a break-in in the centre of Killeshandra.

Gardaí say a vacant house on Main Street was broken into at some point over the past six weeks.

A copper cylinder and a quantity of copper piping was stolen.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact Ballyconnell Station on 049-9525580. They’re particularly interested in hearing from people who saw anything suspicious in the area.

Gardaí have also issued a warning to people who have vacant properties:

“We would also like to remind people that if they have vacant properties, particularly in rural areas, please make sure they are secured as well as possible and to check them regularly for any unwanted activity.”
