Further arrest in Adrian Donohoe murder case
Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s this morning, (Monday April 19, 2021) in relation to the capital murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe on 25th January 2013.
A statement from the Garda Press office states that the man was arrested in the Dundalk area shortly before 8.30am and is currently being detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe was killed on active duty on January 25, 2013 when he intervened in an armed robbery at the Lordship Credit Union, Bellurgan, Co Louth.
Aaron Brady was sentenced to life in prison last month for the capital murder of Detective Donohoe. Brady was sentenced to a minimum of 40 years for the murder and a concurrent 14 years for armed robbery.
