The local business dressed their popular getaway cabins in green lighting last week.
Only recently did parent company Killykeen Forest Holidays Limited unveil plans for the next phase of investment to further enhance the existing forest tourism complex.
The company is seeking permission from Cavan County Council to erect 15 new holiday chalets at the site, which was initially developed in the mid 1980s as holiday destination by the Department of Agriculture and Coillte.
In 2017, Killykeen Forest Holidays Ltd purchased the holiday village and invested close to five million euro in upgrading the existing 28 holiday cabins within the 75-acre park site.
A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted to the planning authority with the application, which is due for decision towards the end of next month.
