Ballinagh winner contacts Lotto HQ

The Cavan punter matched five numbers and one lucky star, just one lucky star number (from 1-12) short of winning the €17 million EuroMillions jackpot on offer.

The owner of a €81,129 EuroMillions ticket has made contact with Lotto HQ. The winning ticket was sold for Tuesday night’s draw (December 15) in Paris.

The Cavan punter matched five numbers and one lucky star, just one lucky star number (from 1-12) short of winning the €17 million EuroMillions jackpot on offer.

The numbers drawn were: 09 - 13 - 21 - 29 - 35 and the Lucky Stars were 01 and 02.

The lucky Quick Pick was sold at Gavin’s Centra, in Ballinagh.

The EuroMillions Match 5 + Lucky Star win in Ballinagh is the latest of three such wins in 2020, which have seen three Cavan players come agonisingly close to the EuroMillions jackpot. Last January, the 295 strong ‘Little Rays’ EuroMillions syndicate made National Lottery history by becoming Ireland’s largest ever syndicate to win €256,142. Another player in Kingscourt won €265,150 on the same EuroMillions prize tier last August.
