An iconic idea for Christmas

Local artist Siobhan Harton has been marking the 12 days of Christmas with a new print idea each day.

Today is the Mullahoran artist is marking the fifth day of Christmas, with her take on 'The Sacred Heart of a Nurse' in a quirky way to say thanks to frontline healthcare staff for their dedication in the face of Covid-19.

It may be the print that was released for the fourth day that will pique the Breffni interest - that of Mickey Graham.

"This art work was created in response to Cavan winning the Ulster Final 2020," explains Siobhan. "It’s a contemporary take on the Sacred Heart pictures that were in every house in the country, when I was growing up.

"The Sacred Heart is a symbol of devotion. Michael Graham is a man devoted to Cavan County team GAA."
