Veronica Apfelstedt (née McKenna)

Main Street, Virginia, Cavan / Mullagh, Cavan

The death has occurred of Veronica Apfelstedt (nee Mc Kenna), Main Street, Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly Killeter, Mullagh, Co. Cavan, peacefully, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her daughter Fionnula. Deeply regretted by her loving husband of 61 years Albert, her son Axel-Kilian, her daughter Eilish, her sister Louie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Removal from Matthew's Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia, on Monday to arrive to Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia, for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock with burial afterwards in St. Killian's Cemetery, Mullagh.

Due to current government advice regarding public gatherings, a private funeral and burial will take place for family and friends.

Margaret Lynch (née Martin)

Raheg, Ballyhaise, Cavan / Cavan Town, Cavan

Margaret Lynch (nee Martin), Raheg, Ballyhaise and Church View, Cavan town. Beloved wife of the late John. Thursday, September 3rd, peacefully, in the loving care of her family, at the home of her daughter Eileen and son in law Terry Martin, Kinkeel, Killeshandra.

Due to current HSE and Government advice the family home and funeral is private to family, neighbours and close friends. Reposing at the home of her daughter in Kinkeel, Killeshandra, today, Friday, from 2pm until 9pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in St Brigid's Church, Killeshandra, with interment afterwards in Cullies Cemetery, Cavan.

McEnaney Michael

Ardragh, Corduff, Carrickmacross, Monaghan, A81 VR44

The death has occurred of Michael McEnaney. Ardragh, Corduff, Carrickmacross. 4th September 2020. Peacefully at his home, following an illness borne with courage and dignity, surrounded by his beloved family. Predeceased by his parents JJ and Maureen. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken family, his wife Clare, sons Keith, David and Sean, daughters Ciara and Elena, son-in-law Stephen, his brothers Tom, Pat, Frank and Seamus, his sisters Margaret, Ann, Nora and Bernie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, his uncle Peter and aunt Sheila, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Reposing at his home on Sunday, 6th September, from 12 noon until 10pm. House private at all other times. In accordance with current guidelines Michael's Funeral Mass will be celebrated with his family and close friends in St. John the Evangelist Church, Raferagh, on Monday, 7th September, at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

No flowers please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Carrick Cancer society, via the donation box, c/o Lonergan Funeral Directors or to any family member.

Michael's funeral cortège will leave his home on Monday at 10:20am via the McEnaney family home proceeding to St. John the Evangelist Church, Raferagh.

As a mark of respect to Michael the Fiddlers Elbow, Carrickmacross, will remain closed on Sunday, 6th September and Monday, 7th September.

Margaret (Peg) McCabe (née Mannion)

Castleross Retirement Village, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Clones, Monaghan / Moylough, Galway

The death has occurred of Margaret (Peg) McCabe (nee Mannion). Castleross Retirement Village, Carrickmacross and formerly Fermanagh Street, Clones and Moylough, Co. Galway, 4th September 2020. Peacefully, in her 98th year, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Predeceased by her husband Seamus, her daughter Bernadette, her brothers Mattie, Jim, Tom, Mick, Pete and her sister Ciss. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, her daughters Marie (Caplice), Veronica (Morrison), her sons James and Paul, sons-in-law Richard and Hugh, daughter-in-law Marie and Paul's partner Eithne, her adored grandchildren Nives, Ria, Shireen, Daryl, Eoin and Conor, her nine great-grandchildren, her brother Paddy, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, on Friday 4th September, from 6:30pm until 8:30pm for family and close friends only. Peg's Funeral Mass will take place for family and close friends in St. Patrick's Church, Broomfield, on Saturday, 5th September, at 11am, followed by burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Clones. To keep everyone safe, it is important that we follow the guidelines from the government and HSE, adhere to social distancing wear face coverings in appropriate circumstances and refrain from handshaking and hugging.

Peg's funeral cortège will leave her home, Castleross Village, on Saturday at 10:35am proceeding to St. Patrick's Church, Broomfield and following the Funeral Mass proceeding to the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Clones, via the Monaghan Road arriving at aprox 1pm.

The management and staff of The Anglo-Celt wish to extend their deepest sympathy to the relatives and friends of the deceased. May they rest in peace.
