It is with regret that we note the following death and funeral notices for counties Cavan in the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie - none were reported from Monaghan.

August 18th 2020, peacefully, at his residence.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Maura, sons Kevin, Gerard, Padraig, daughters Mary (Fee, Bawnboy), Noeleen (Mc Intyre, Aughavas), sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, relatives & friends.

Rest in Peace

Removal tomorrow, Thursday, arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Kilnavart, for funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private except for friends and close neighbours.

In compliance with current guidelines, Martin's funeral will be confined to family & friends. The funeral Mass can be viewed on the Corlough/Templeport Facebook page. Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu, to Palliative Care.

Kevin Smith

Stragella, Cavan Town, Cavan

Kevin Smith, Stragella, Cavan, Tuesday, August 18th 2020, at The Mater Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family, in his 40th year. Brother of the late John whose 1st Anniversary takes place this week.

Beloved son of Sean and Maisie and loving brother of Stephen, Mairéad, Lorraine and Orla. Will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, brother and sisters, sister in law Rachel, brother in law Mark, and his nephew baby Mark, aunts, uncles, cousins and his many, many good friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Due to Government and HSE regulations, Kevin's funeral and burial will be private to family and close friends, please, while they in turn observe social distancing and wear face coverings at all times. The funeral cortège will leave the house at 12.30pm on Saturday, arriving at the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan, for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial will take place after Mass in the family plot in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Killygarry.

The Smith family would like to thank you all for your cooperation and understanding at this sad time. Family flowers only, please, donations, in lieu, would be appreciated to ICU unit, Mater Hospital, Dublin, c/o McMahon Funeral Directors, Farnham Road, Cavan or any family member.
