Dessie Gumley, Drumliffe, Redhills & formerly Drumalee, Cavan, Thursday, August 13th, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Maureen & devoted father of Gerard, Patrick, Desmond & Moira. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Glenda, his adored grandchildren Chloe, Sarah, Sean & Daithi, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, all his relatives & many friends.

May he Rest In Peace.

Dessie’s remains will leave his home in Drumliffe on Saturday morning at 12.30 pm approximately to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Ballyhaise for Funeral Mass at 1 o clock & will be followed by burial in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Killygarry. Due to government and HSE advice regarding public gatherings Dessie’s Funeral Mass & burial will be private to family and close friends only.

Those who would like to have attended the funeral but are unable to do so are asked to post their personal messages to the family in the condolences section below. Anyone standing along the route are asked to observe social distancing guidelines. The family would like to thank everyone for their understanding at this time.

Shane O'Rourke, Pullareagh, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan, passed away peacefully at home in the care of his loving family on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020. Beloved son of Thomas and Maura. Sadly missed by his sister Aisling, partner Jill, daughter Katie, aunts, uncles, cousins, his many friends and neighbours.

May He Rest In Eternal Peace.

Reposing at his home at Lismagratty, Cavan (H12 RF25) from 4pm to 8pm Thursday (13th). Please adhere to social distancing measures at all times. Removal from his home on Friday to St. Joseph's Church Drumkilly for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by Cremation. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Palliative Care, Cavan c/o Briody Funeral Directors or any family member. In line with current Government and HSE advice, Shane's Funeral Mass and Cremation will be private to his family & friends.

Tom Carville

5 Church Hill Road, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Tom Carville, 5 Church Hill Road, Annyart, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Wednesday August 12th peacefully at his residence. Pre-deceased by his wife Christine and brother Hugh. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, sons Mark, Paul, Darren and Anthony, daughters Sharon, Tracey, Michelle and Arlene, brothers Teddy (USA) and Aidan (Darver), sisters Ann Mc Carthy (Dublin) and Marie Mc Kenzie (Wolverhampton) daughters in-law, sons in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Tom’s funeral cortège will travel from his residence on Saturday morning at 10.30am. Due to the continued restrictions on public gatherings, Tom’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family and close friends in St Mary's Chapel, Castleblayney (https://www.churchservices.tv/muckno) followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan. House private, please.

Rosaleen McElvaney (née Connolly)

Corcaghan, Monaghan

peacefully, in the loving care of her family, at the home of her daughter Aileen (Moen), Rackwallace.

Predeceased by her husband Eugene.

Sadly missed by her son Eugene, daughters Aileen and Marie, sons in law Eamon Joseph (Moen) and Eddie (McGinn), grandchildren Conor, Niall, Eoghan, Aisling and Fergal, brother James, brother in law Hughie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Patrick (Packie) McGeough, Killnageer, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan, Wednesday, 12th August, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Bernadette (nee Courtney), much loved father of Martin (Allison, USA), Helena (Damian McGee, Co. Tyrone), Brendan (Caroline, Killnageer), Joanne (Gerard Malone, Clontibret) and Michael (Tara, Killnageer) and adored grandfather to Eryn, Ryan, Daniel, Grace, Aidan and Caoimhe. Deeply regretted by his loving family; his brothers, Peadar (RIP), Eugene and Alo, sisters, Veronica and Josephine, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Packie's remains will repose at his residence from 7pm - 9pm today, Thursday and 3pm - 9pm tomorrow, Friday. Packie's funeral Mass will be celebrated in Ballyoisin, Saturday morning, at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only.

Due to HSE restrictions, Packie's wake & funeral will be private to family, friends and neighbours.
