EuroMillions punters in the east of the county are being asked to check their tickets as a matter of priority after yet another ticket was sold in the area in the space of a week.
Last Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw (August 4) produced a Match 5 + Lucky Star winner, worth €265,150. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on Sunday, August 2, at the Applegreen service station on the Dublin Road in Kingscourt.
The EuroMillions Plus numbers were: 01, 02, 05, 15, 42. The Lucky Stars were 05 and 08.
Bhupendre Choudhary, manager of the Kingscourt store said he was delighted that one of his customers had picked up such a huge prize.
“We are absolutely delighted for them. The whole town will be buzzing this morning and no doubt we’ll have a lot of people in the store to check their tickets in the hope that they might be over a quarter of a million richer!”
It was the second win in a week after a customer in Baileborough bagged a EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 on Tuesday, July 28. The Quick Pick ticket for the July 28 draw was sold in Barrack Street Service Station in Bailieborough, run by the Roe family.
Contact has been made with Lotto by the Bailieborough winner, and arrangements are being made to pay the prize.
