Pubs, hairdressers, gyms and now for more good news... Tayto Park WILL also reopen next Monday, 29th June!
In a brief statement today, Ireland's only theme park and zoo, said it was "delighted to announce that in accordance with government guidelines it will reopen on the 29th June at 9:30am, tickets will be available to purchase today from 4pm at www.taytopark.ie
Tayto Park had originally been looking forward to welcoming guests back to the Kilbrew site on the 18th June (last Thursday), believing they were entitled to do so, in line with all communications from all regulatory authorities they had received.
However, on reviewing statutory regulations it was decided to keep the home of the Cu Chulainn rollercoaster closed pending further clarity.
Speaking at that time Ray Coyle of Tayto Park said: “We’re terribly sorry, particularly given the huge amount of excitement and support we received this morning from everyone. Myself and the entire team at Tayto Park look forward to welcoming everyone when regulations allow”.
To comply with social distancing Tayto Park will have a number of new measures in place when they welcome visitors next week:
- Our carpark staff will instruct you as to where to park. All parking spots will be spaced apart to ensure a 2 metre distance between any visitors unloading their car.
- Some of our staff will be wearing masks or face coverings
- You will notice there will be a temperature check team upon arrival.
- There will be perspex screens in place at most till points
- We ask that you please pay with card where possbile.
- There will be ground markings in the queue of each attraction to ensure social distancing is maintained. Please take note of these and abide by them when queuing for an attraction.
- Please make sure to wash your hands and use the hand sanitiser pumps that are available throughout the park. We ask that you use hand sanitiser before and after using an attraction.
- Our food outlet offerings will be slightly different this season. The Lodge Restaurant will be operating as a take away service only.
