€4,500 for NYAH Music Festival

Cavan’s NYAH Traditional Music Festival is set to receive €4,500.

The funding was made available under the Small Local Festivals and Summer Schools Scheme.

Heather Humphreys, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, and Fine Gael TD for Cavan Monaghan, welcomed the allocation.

She said that the festival makes a “huge contribution to the vibrant culture heritage of Cavan and the wider region, so I could not think of a worthier recipient of this funding.”

Noting too that NYAH is a “wonderful celebration of the local community, youth, diversity, cultural expression, new horizons and friendship”, she said that it deserves “every support” from Government.

“I would like to congratulate the organisers and artists for securing this funding, and wish them continued success with the Festival.”
