A week's worth of fine weather

Today is the first of a week's worth of fine weather for Cavan and Monaghan, according to Met Éireann.

For example the temperatures for Cavan Town are given for 17 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday, 21 degrees for Thursday through to Saturday and peaking on Sunday for both Cavan and Monghan at 22 degrees.

Back to today: while this morning has been dry with sunny spells, cloud will gradually increase from the Atlantic, bringing outbreaks of rain and drizzle to western coastal areas during the morning, extending gradually eastwards during the afternoon and evening, but becoming light and patchy.

Many eastern areas will stay largely or completely dry. Maximum temperatures 14 to 18 Celsius, warmest in the east. Winds mostly moderate south to southwest, but it will be windy in western coastal areas, with fresh to strong south to southwest winds. However, winds will ease in the evening.

Mainly dry overnight, with a good deal of cloud at first, bringing a little patchy drizzle, but clear spells wil develop, mainly in the west. Minimum temperatures 7 to 12 Celsius, in light westerly or variable breezes.

Tomorrow

Tuesday will be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells developing, but a few spots of drizzle are possible in the early morning, mainly in the east. Maximum temperatures 14 to 18 Celsius, coolest on western and northern coasts, in light westerly or variable breezes.
