Council warns of wheelie bin thefts

 

A local County Council has issued a warning after receiving a number of reports regarding the theft of wheelie bins.

The Environmental Service section at Monaghan County Council at the local authority has urged homeowners and businesses to remain vigilant after reports of the unlawful takings from private property, following which the bins are then found dumped with the contents emptied.

“These wheelie bins have been subsequently found dumped with contents emptied,” Monaghan Council warned.

“Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to An Garda Síochana or to Monaghan County Council Environmental Services in confidence on  042 9661240. Thank you.”
