Four to appear in court over Lunney abduction
Gardaí investigating the abduction of Quinn Industrial Holdings Executive Kevin Lunney have charged four males in relation to the incident.
The four males arrested last Thursday, November 21, were released overnight from detention under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007.
All four males however remained in Garda custody and will now appear before Virginia District Court this morning, November 26.
Its understood the four men will be charged with offences in respect of this ongoing investigation, including false imprisonment and assault.
Among those arrested last week is a male, aged 25 years. He was arrested by gardaí in the Dublin Region for an offence contrary to Section 73 Criminal Justice Act 2006 and was detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Irishtown Garda station.
Also arrested was a male, aged 66 years. He was arrested in Co Cavan for an offence contrary to Section 72 Criminal Justice Act 2006 and was detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Monaghan Garda station.
Two other males, both aged 38 years, were also arrested in the Dublin Region for an offence contrary to Section 73 Criminal Justice Act 2006 and were also detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Ballymun & Finglas Garda stations.
