Search for missing Galway man

Cavan people are asked to assist as Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 25 year old Robert Murray who is missing from his home in Salthill, Galway. Robert was last seen on Tuesday January 8 in the Shop Street area of Galway just after 10:00pm.

The missing man is described as 5' 10" thin build and black hair. When Robert was last seen he was wearing black trousers and a khaki green colour jacket. Rebecca King from Cavan Town contacted the Celt about the search.

“I am not connected with Robert's family, but as a mother I would just like to help out in any way I can,” Rebecca told the Celt. The young mother is putting up posters around town in an effort to assist with the search.

Rebecca says that a Facebook group has been set up to broaden the operation looking for the missing man: “People are trying to get Robert's face out there in the hope that if anyone has seen him they will be able to contact the authorities.”
