Fourteen new social homes for Ballyjamesduff

Fourteen new social homes are set to be constructed in Ballyjamesduff at a cost of over €2.5M.

The news was announced this week by Cavan Fine Gael Senator Joe O'Reilly who said that the Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy had approved the new scheme at Ashgrove in the east Cavan town.

It will comprise of 13 three-bed houses and one four-bed property, at a cost of €2,572,878.

Welcoming the scheme, Senator O’Reilly said it is a huge boost to the economy of Ballyjamesduff and will provide much-needed housing for those waiting.

Senator O’Reilly also acknowledged that his colleague Cllr Paddy Smith had been actively seeking additional social housing for the area.
