'Song choice is vital!'
A singer with Cavan links has said he hopes to make the live semi finals of the X Factor and the subsequent tour. Brendan Murray, whose dad Frank is from Kildallan, was speaking to The Anglo-Celt this week from the X Factor House ahead of a “jam packed” day of rehearsals with choreography, vocal training and press interviews.
This Saturday, he will perform on the fifth live show of the TV talent competition having sailed through last weekend off the back of his performance of REM’s ‘Everybody Hurts’.
“You don’t get a chance to think about it really but I’m just absolutely over the moon, I’m just very overwhelmed. I can’t believe I’m through to week five of the X Factor. It’s mad so hopefully, with a bit of luck, I could hopefully get further,” he remarked over the phone from London.
