Decisions due on almost 100 new homes across the county

The fate of plans for almost 100 new homes set across three separate developments will be learned in the coming days, when a decision is finally made by the planning section of Cavan County Council.

The largest of the three, submitted by Ballyconnell Properties Ltd, concerns plans to demolish an existing derelict dwelling and develop a residential scheme comprising of 46 fully serviced houses at Mullaghduff in Ballyconnell.
Along with forming a new entrance, service road, connection to foul sewer, surface water and watermain and all ancillary siteworks, the development will comprise of 26 semi-detached bungalows with provision for attic accommodation, 16 two-storey semi-detached dwellings, and a two storey terraced block of four units. A decision is due November 11.

 

Gallops development

The next largest in size concerns Latt Properties Ltd's plan to construct 36 houses in the townland of Latt on the outskirts of Cavan Town.
That development, for which a decision is due November 8, outlines scope for the construction of eight two-storey semi-detached dwellings and 28 three-bed two-storey semi-detached dwellings, as well as 18 more properties pertaining to existing form as part of the 'Gallops' housing development.
 

Belturbet

November 7 marks the deadline for a decision on an application by Skipvale Ltd to build 21 fully serviced dwellings at Sli Na Coille.
The proposed develop consists of six two-bed semi-detached bungalows, eight two-storey three-bed semi-detached dwellings, a two storey terraced block of four units (two three-bed and two two-bed), as well as a two storey terraced block of three units (two three-bed and one two-bed).
Significant further information and revised plans were submitted in respect of all three applications.
 

Ballyjamesduff

Separately, a decision will be made next month in respect of a new application submitted by Paddy Cunningham, who has sought permission to demolish an existing derelict dwelling and agricultural sheds at Kilmore in Ballyjamesduff, and erect a total of eight houses in their place.
The eight new units will consist of four bed two-storey semi-detached dwellings, with connection to all public services, the upgrade of an existing entrance and the formation of a new access road together with all associated site works.
