Road closed following three vehicle crash

 

Diversions are in place on approach to Cavan Town following a crash involving a car, a van and a minibus during the height of morning school run traffic.

The road from the N3 to Loreto Cross remains still closed off, with diversions in place as gardai and fire services continue to work to clear the scene.

No serious injuries have been reported at this stage.

The three-vehicle accident is understood to have occurred shortly before 9am.
