Cocaine seized in Cavan Town

Cocaine, with an estimated street value of €400, was seized by gardaí following a raid at an apartment in the Cavan Town area last week.
One person was arrested, but later released, following the raid by gardaí at the property during the week. The search was carried out on foot of a warrant and was intelligence led in an ongoing operation aim at tackling the sale and supply of illegal drugs in the county town and surrounding areas.
The drugs, following seizure, were sent for analysis, testing positive for cocaine.
The search was carried out by members of the Regional Drugs Unit, supported by members of the force attached to Cavan Garda Station.
A file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions on the matter.
