Celt Debate: Decision time on the Eighth
The Anglo-Celt will host a live debate on the upcoming referendum on whether to repeal the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution.
The debate, which will be streamed live on our website, will take place in the Cavan Crystal Hotel at 3pm on Friday, May 18, in front of a live audience of around sixty.
There will be four speakers on the panel. Arguing the 'No' side will be Dr Fiona O'Hanlon from Cootehill and Linda Farrelly, a mother from the Cavan Pro Life Group; while, on the 'Yes' side, will be Aisling Mulligan, barrister from Cootehill from 'Lawyers for Choice' and Daniel Downey, a Sinn Féin councillor from Cavan.
The debate will be chaired by the editor of The Anglo-Celt Linda O'Reilly.

You must also indicate whether you are on the 'yes' or 'no' side or remain undecided. There will be an element of audience participation in the debate, as well as social media interaction.
The event is free but pre-registration is essential and only names on the door will be permitted entry.
