The circus comes to town

At the 2018 Monte Carlo new generation Circus festival the Duffy Brothers were awarded the Silver Clown for their already award winning Wheel of Death by Princess Stephanie of Monaco.

The boys and their partners had four other major wins during the festival, including the public choice award and most importantly, an invitation to take part in the main Monte Carlo Circus festival - the Oscars of the Circus world.
In 2017 Tom and Jamie were at the famous Weihnachts Circus Grand Prix in Hanover where they won a prestigious gold award for their stomach churning ‘wheel of death’ act. The Hanover extravaganza attracts the crème de la crème of circus acts from all over Europe and for two young performers from Ireland to win the top prize is a huge achievement and demonstrates their innate talent. The boys are the first Irish artists in history to bring back a gold award to Ireland.
Tom and Jamie say that they have “circus in their blood” and couldn’t imagine doing anything else, despite the hardwork and long hours.
“If you didn’t love it you wouldn’t do it,” says Tom. From their early years they have performed many acts in the circus ring, The Rolling Globes, Horse riding, comedy routines, presented dogs, horses, magic and illusion displays and of course their celebrated Wheel of Death.
Tom and Jamie Duffy are quite literally a whirlwind duo. Complete concentration, balance, absolute trust in each other and a fearless mentality combine to produce a heart-stopping performance on the Wheel of Death. Each year they scale new heights with their daring exploits on the giant revolving wheel. Somersaults, death defying jumps and a two man high walk around the outside of the wheel have increased their growing reputation throughout the Circus World.
What will they do next? Who knows! But whatever it is, it will be exciting and breath-taking!
