Winter vomiting bug outbreak at Cavan General
Visitor restrictions remain in place at Cavan General Hospital following an outbreak of the Winter Vomiting Bug at the local medical facility.
As a result, the hospital has issued a public request that visitors to patients refrain from attending unless in otherwise exceptional circumstances, and where prior agreement has been arranged.
The restrictions are in place for all wards, and the RCSI Hospitals group are unable to provide any details as to when it is likely the restrictions will be lifted.
They have however advised that policy regarding visiting restrictions are reviewed daily.
