Greenan appointed new president of Cavan Chamber
Former Sinn Féin councillors Eugene Greenan has been appointed the new president of the Cavan Chamber of Commerce.
The Managing Director of American company, Presonus, an audio electronics company based in Cavan, was appointed to the position at the Chamber's AGM last Tuesday night.
"Business is where my heart always was – it is good to have this opportunity with the Chamber. It comes at a time of opportunities but there are also a lot of uncertainties as well coming down the line for Cavan Town,” Mr Greenan told the Celt.
The Cavan Town-based businessman is of the view that there will be developments in relation to the creation of a new town centre “sooner rather than later”.
The regeneration of Cavan Town centre, the impact of Brexit on retailers and the development of a major Cavan Town festival are among the items on his agenda in the new role.
