Cavan Chamber to elect new president

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Cavan Chamber of Commerce takes place tonight in the Hotel Kilmore tonight (Wednesday) at 8pm. The current president Eddie Coleman is expected to deliver his final president's address at tonight's meeting and evaluate the strides made by the Chamber under his stewardship.
It is understood that a new president will be elected and that person will have an opportunity to set out their way forward for the Chamber and goals they wish to pursue for the betterment of the membewrs and the economy of the town. The treasurer's report will also be presented to the meeting tonight and the team of new officers will be installed.
The new president will assume office at a vitally critical juncture for the town in the wake of Brexit, and the fallout from that scenario - both known and unknown.
