24 burglaries and thefts in New Year
There have been more than 20 thefts from or attempted break-in to property and cars across the county to date in 2018, with seven incidents including four burglaries occurring the past week alone.
The most recent incidents in the theft of tools from a house in the Drumcurvan area overnight between January 25-26 last, there raiders broken their way into a shed before making off with contents.
Tools were also stolen from a shed in the Bruce area of Arvagh between January 19-22.
Meanwhile, cash and jewellery were taken during a break-in at a house in the Ardarney area on January 27, which occurred between the hours of 4-10pm.
A further attempted break-in was reported at a house in Drumhora near Loughduff over the past week, with gardaí further investigating a break in at a car in the Ballyconnell area on January 22.
