Gardaí appeal for information into Ballyjamesduff killing
Gardaí investigating the fatal stabbing in Ballyjamesduff at the weekend are making a further appeal for information from the public.
The victim has been named locally as Marek Swider, who was originally from Poland but had been living in Cavan for more than ten years.
The stabbing occurred at approximately 11pm on Sunday, December 31 at the town's Dublin Street.
Gardaí are seeking assistance from anyone who was driving on the Dublin road, Ballyjamesduff between 10.30pm and midnight on Saturday, December 31 and who may have had a dash cam in operation.
They are also appealing expressly to the Polish community or any member of the public who may any information whatsoever.
