€500k Cavan EuroMillions win collected

The Cavan winner of the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 from April last has finally come forward to claim his prize.

The National Lottery confirmed the news on Monday last, commenting that “Cavan player was certainly in no rush to collect his prize as he coolly sauntered into National Lottery offices with his winning ticket.”

The Applegreen N3 Cavan Service Station sold a winning Euromillions ticket worth €500,000 in the Tuesday, April 25, draw.

“My head has been spinning for the last two months,” said the lucky local winner to National Lottery officials.

The Cavan player, who wishes to keep his win private, only discovered his win when he returned to the Applegreen N3 Cavan Service Station where he bought his Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw.
