Renewed appeal for information of murdered ex-garda
Gardai have renewed an appeal and are offering an reward for information in relation to 2012 murder of former detective Garda John Kerins in Bailieborough.
John Kerins (49) was shot while lying on the sofa of his two-storey home in Cornaveagh, the TV remote control by his side and front door unlocked.
Now, on the fourth anniversary of Mr Kierns' death on November 9, 2012, gardai have reviewed their public appeal for any information which made lead to his killers being identified and brought to justice.
Speaking today, Detective Inspector Shay O’Leary of the Cavan-Monaghan District said as there were no witnesses, gardai have very limited information to help solve this crime.
“I genuinely believe that members of the public have information in relation to the murder and I am asking these individuals to come forward,' he said.
