Boil water notice served on Ballyhaise
A 'Boil Water Notice' has been served on the Ballyhaise Public Water Supply, affecting in the region of 750 consumers.
Following advice from the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and Cavan County Council, a Boil Water Notice was issued today on the Ballyhaise Public Water Supply Scheme, which is served by Annagh Group Water Scheme.
Aimed at protecting consumers, the boil water notice was put in place due to the detection of coliform bacteria in the water supply.
Irish Water and Cavan County Council have apologised for any inconvenience caused by this announcement.
Water must be boiled for: Drinking, Drinks made with water, Preparation of salads and similar foods, which are not cooked prior to eating, Brushing of teeth, Making of ice, Discard ice cubes in fridges and freezers and filtered water in fridges. Make ice from cooled boiled water.
