Cavan Town the tidiest in county

The tidiest town in the county this year is Cavan Town with 314 points, followed by Redhills with 304 points and Loch Gowna with 291 points.

Redhills took top marks in Category A, followed by Loch Gowna in second place on 291 points and Maghera in third on 266 points.

With 263 points, Arvagh won Category B, for villages with 201-1000 people. They were followed by Kilnaleck with 254 points and Ballinagh with 244.

Killeshandra took Category C, for towns with 1001 to 2500 people, with 286 points. In second was Belturbet with 274 points and Mullagh in third with 271.

Virginia scored top marks with 275 points in Category D, for towns from 2501-5000 people. Ballyjamesduff followed with 264 points.

Cavan Town was the sole entrant in Category F, for towns with 10,001 to 15,000 people.
