Cootehill Garda misses out on GRA presidency
A Cootehil Garda has today missed out on becoming president of the Garda Reperesentatives Association at the members' annual conference in Killarney.
Garda James Morrisroe was pipped to the position by Dublin Garda Ciaran O'Neill.
Gda Morrisroe, two years the Cavan-Monaghan Division GRA rep had called for more armed units and resources to tackle increased violence throughout the country but especially along the Border.
In his appointment Gda O'Neill swaps his role as vice-president to president.
