Born in New York 80 years ago but raised in the Cooley Peninsula, legendary Irish sports commentator and broadcaster, Jimmy Magee, is known for his expert knowledge and recall of all things sport.
Jimmy was born to broadcast and has covered some of the greatest sporting events in Ireland and around the world for radio and TV and is now bringing his vast collection memoirs nationwide to share with all sporting enthusiasts.
Locally Jimmy Magee will appear in the Ramor Theatre, Virginia on Thursday January 21 at 8pm.

‘Around the World in 80 Years’ is Jimmy Magee’s new One Man Show. The audience will be treated to an evening of Jimmy’s wit, charm and wisdom as well as his encyclopaedic knowledge of sport which earned him the title of ‘The Memory Man’.
The ‘Ask Jimmy’ part of the show should bring us some very interesting questions and some great answers. As the man himself once said, ‘Different class, different class....’
