Woman 50's killed in Monaghan car accident

Gardai in Monaghan are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occured in the townland of Aghalisk, Clones Road, Monaghan at approximately 7.50a.m. this morning Wednesday 28th October, 2015.

The two car collison occured, and a female driver (mid 50s) was fatally injured and her body has been removed to Cavan General Hospital. The male driver (late 50s) was also removed to hospital but his injuries are described as non life threatening.

The road is currently closed as Garda Forensic Collision investigators are at scene and local diversions are in place.
