Cavan car advert an internet hit
If only all online sellers were this honest!
A brutally honest Cavan car ad posted on trader website Donedeal.ie yesterday has ended in success, despite the somewhat unusual description.
The post, selling a pink-coloured Toyota Yaris garnered widespread internet attention for its colourful description and no nonsense of a car which no longer starts, and at best, could be sold for parts.
“The mother bought a pink yaris! A fe*king PINK yaris lads! Dad took a lend of it and drove it into the ground,” the advert describes.
The seller added: “Its a non runner and i know fe*k all about cars so dont bother your hole asking me to sell individual parts, it not going to happen. She comes as one salmon coloured piece. The gearbox is grand (i think) the interior is alright. Has a pink(good jaysus) CD player. She'll do as a parts car for someone.”
Priced at €200 to “take her off my hands”, the seller also made it very clear they were not prepared to consider selling “the wing mirrors on their own”, and as for meeting any would be buyer “half way”- “its not fe*king driving hye!”.
The good-humoured car advert further states that the seller is based in Co Cavan, and furthermore, any queries as to whether or not the vehicle had a valid NCT in place would be met with a certain degree of derision- “NCT!?! Are ya having a laugh???”
“The price is negotiable, but remember I live in Cavan and.... ah sure ya know yourself hye!
Despite all of that, the seller marked the car as sold yesterday evening, prompting even more reaction from an already bemused online community.
