Over a thousand cheaters in county
There are over a thousand cheaters in the county, according to a Sunday paper's breakdown of users of an extra-marital affair website, which was hacked.
Adultery website Ashley Madison, which has the tagline 'Life is short. Have an affair', was hacked last month by a group calling itself ‘The Impact Team’.
The hackers, who said they had complete access to a database of more than 37 million members which included 110,000 Irish members yesterday posted customer records online, says The Sunday World on their website.
The hack is understood to be a protest over the charging of a leavers' fee to users to completely delete a former user’s personal data.
The Impact Team said the erasing of personal information is a 'complete lie', and claimed that details such as real name and address are never deleted - information the hackers suggest is likely to be 'the most important' that users want removed.
The paper's breakdown of Irish users, or those with email addresses at the site, show 1,021 Cavan people, nearly double that of neighbouring Longford with 593. Top of the charts was Dublin while Enniscorthy posted the lowest number: 81.
The detail of Irish users has been released by the hackers and we have perused the numbers and correlated a list of users around Ireland.
