Dylans guest appearance in clifferna tonight

Since returning home to a hero’s welcome after his appearance on the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent last week, Clifferna’s Dylan Byrd is taking life in his stride as he prepares for what may come and where his dancing feet might take him.
“I’m doing really good. Everyone has been very supportive of me. It’s been great,” Dylan told The Anglo-Celt. He arrived back home in Ireland last Thursday following his performance on Wednesday night’s live show.
The next big appearance for the 16-year-old Cootehill Comprehensive Transition Year student will see him take centre stage at a celebration event in his honour in his native Clifferna Church and Community Hall. Locals from the parish and surrounding areas are preparing to celebrate the young man’s achievement on Saturday, June 6. Starting at 8.30pm, the celebration evening will see a presentation made to Dylan at St Michael’s Centre, Clifferna, with organisers saying: “Dylan is a credit to his family, parish and his county. Well done Dylan, and we wish you the best in the future.”
While disappointed at not making it to the show’s finale, Dylan is excited about what the future holds. One thing is certain, he says “I’m going to continue dancing”.
“I’m really proud of all I’ve been able to achieve. It’s been a dream come true to get as far as I did,” says Dylan. “It was great to represent my area, the county and the country in front of so many million people. I’d just like to thank everyone for all the good wishes and the support they’ve shown me.”
The Britain’s Got Talent final last Saturday night was won by Jules O’Dwyer and her dog Matisse who will now perform at the Royal Variety Show and receive £250,000 in prize money.
