Adult music session

What: Comhaltas Béal Tairbirt will hold an adult music session in Flynn’s Bar, Kilconny from 9.30pm. All musicians, singers and story tellers from beginner to experienced are welcome.
Race Night & Social

What: Ramor United GFC are having a Race and Social night. First race starts at 9pm and there will be also be a raffle. Everyone welcome and the night promises to be full of fun and plenty of laughter. All support and sponsorship is greatly appreciated.

What: Yoga Weekend for Nepal Earthquake Response on Friday, June 5, 7-8.15pm. Restorative yoga, the perfect class to start the weekend in a relaxed manner. Cost €10.

Annual Quiz

Bunnoe Festival

When: June 5-7
What: Festival runs weekend Friday, June 5 to Sunday June 7. The opening event this year will be 'The Thorny Rose’ contest which will take place on the Friday night - a night of comedy and laughter followed by music with Tommy McClorey, barbecue and bar extension. Doors open at 8.30pm; show starts at 9.30pm. Saturday will have a smarty party at 4pm and teenage disco at 9-11pm. On Sunday there is a family sports day at 2pm with events for all the family; u10 football, fancy dress, races, tractor reversing and many more novelties. On Sunday at 7pm - Fittest teams competition followed by music in centre at 9pm.
Clones Canal Festival

What: Family fun includes Soap-Box Race with €1,000 in prizes; Mini (cars) gathering; Duathlon; It’s a Knock-Out; Farmers Market.
Charity Kayak Run
Where: From Gulladoo Lake
When: Saturday, June 6
What: Charity Kayak Run in aid of the Irish Cancer Society from Gulladoo Lake a run of approximately 18KM begins at 10.30am. This will join up with a medium run from Rockfield Lake which will start at noon. This will continue on to Glasshouse Lake where it will join up with a short run of approximately 5KM which will then finish at Killeshandra Amenity Area adjacent to the Town Lake. All kayakers are welcome. Under 16s €5, Adults €10. Refreshments will be served at the end of the run. Contact Thias Brady on 086 8400 033.
Classic car rally

What: Mullagh Tourism & Community Development welcomes the Gordon Bennett Classic Car Rally (IVVCC). European event cars from 1890 and early 1900s taking part. Stopping in Mullagh for lunch 12-2pm. Parking restrictions in place please co-operate.

Fun Run
Where: Milltown National School

What: The Parent Association of Milltown National School is delighted to announce that we will be holding our First 5KM Fun Run on Sunday, June 7 starting and finishing at Milltown National School. Registration: Friday, June 5, 1.30–3pm at school, or Saturday, June 6, 10.30-11.30am at football pitch or Sunday, June 7, 10.30am-noon at school. Entry fee: €10 per person or €20 per family. All proceeds go to the school. Everyone welcome, from young to old. Refreshments served afterwards in the school.
Cycle
Where: Drumavaddy Community Centre

What: 80km/40km Cycles will take place from Drumavaddy Community Centre at 9am and 10am respectively. Proceeds in Aid of Drumavaddy Community Centre Renovation Fund and a donation will be made to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund. Registration €20 from 8.45am – Refreshments served - Nice routes and no hills!
Gardening Club

What: Ballinagh Gardening club welcome speaker Thomas Pakenham, Castlepollard. Refreshments served. All welcome, non-members €4 nightly.
Cycling race
Where: Various
When: Tuesday, June 9, 7pm
What: CKR cc the new cycling club of the Cavan Kayakarun which is registered with cycling Ireland and currently leading the Cavan interclub league hosts its first cycling race. It starts at Kilarue Furniture store and heads towards Canningstown, Shercock, Cootehill back to the furniture store and finishing at the top of Kilatee Brae. 150 cyclists are expected and please come out and support the cyclist as they battle it out.
Bailieborough Walking Group
Where: Castle Lake, Bailieborough.

What: Bailieborough Walking Group organised walks, 1 hour, medium walk 1 hour 30 minutes. Walks commence at the Castle Lake, Car Park at 7.15pm. All welcome.
