Tesco gets permission for 485 car parking spaces

Tesco has received conditional permission for its application for a whopping 485 car parking spaces at their Cock Hill site in Cavan Town.

The application was before Cavan County Council and as reported on northernsound radio, was approved on April 9. The supermarket giant previously had permission from An Bord Pleanala for 250 spaces for their hypermarket development.

The application was lodge with the council on February 23 and while a decision was not due until April 19 conditional permission was awarded despite March submissions from RG Data, Cavan Chamber and from the Keep Cavan Alive Campaign c/o Jimmy Fox.
