Fatal road traffic accident outside kingscourt

Gardai in Navan are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred in Dunheeda, Kingscourt in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, March 23). 

The collision occurred at approximately 12.30am on the Kingscourt to Drumcondrath Rd(2.5 km outside Kingscourt). The car collided with a tree and the male(25years) who was seriously injured was taken by ambulance to Navan Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A post mortem is expected to take place later today, Monday, March 23.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.
