More parades in cavan than st patrick could have shook his crook at

Does County Cavan, at 13, have the most St Patrick's Day parades of any county in Ireland. The 13 do not even count parades within spitting distance of Breffni soil such as Clones, Carrickmacross and Ballinamore.

The Celt, in next week's issue, be running an advance preview of all parades in the region - as well as an extended what's on bumper events' guide ahead of this year's St Patrick's Day Festival.

But, in the meantime, to get us into the mood, we came across this little gem on you tube from the parade in Kilnaleck in 1992 posted by gmullery1. Parade action gets underway at about eight minutes but there are plenty of faces on the streets in the lead up.
