Collision with wall on oldcastle to virginia road leaves two seriously injured

Gardaí in Kells are investigating a serious single vehicle road traffic collision at Fennor Upper, Oldcastle in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).

The collision occurred at approximately 4am on the Oldcastle to Virginia Rd (approx 8km from Virginia). A car collided with a wall and the two male occupants (aged 22 and 24 years old) were seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital, where their injuries are described as serious.
The road was closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and diversions were in place earlier.
