Man recovering in hospital after shooting in Shercock

Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident at a house in Shercock last night (Friday, March 28).
At approximately 9.45pm a male in his 20s was injured during a shooting incident at a house in Lisdrumskeagh, Shercock. It is believed one shot was fired when the male was confronted at the front door of his house by two males armed with a handgun. He was taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
The scene is preserved pending a technical examination.
