Canavan to take over Cavan Gaels reins

Three-time All-Ireland SFC medallist Peter Canavan is to take over as manager of Cavan Gaels, it has been confirmed.
The Errigal Chiarain man managed Fermanagh senior footballers last season but stepped down after defeat to Cavan ended their run in the All-Ireland qualifiers.
Canavan will be assisted, as he was in the Erne job, by Kieran Donnelly.
The move will come as a major boost to the Cavan Town club, which hasn't won a trophy at senior level in the past two seasons.
They had been earlier linked with Seamus McEnaney and have previously opted for high profile outside men such as Malachy O'Rourke and Gerry McCarville.
