Quinn to open Ballinamore Family Festival this afternoon

Sean Quinn is set to speak at a County Leitrim family festival this afternoon. The former billionaire will take a break from his ongoing battle with IBRC on Sunday, when he addresses some of the thousands attending Ballinamore’s 47th annual Family Festival.
A press release stated that the demand from Ballinamore locals to hear the Fermanagh businessman prompted the appearance.
“The official opening will be performed on Sunday next, August 11 at 4pm by the greatest entrepreneur of all times, Sean Quinn, who will address the crowd following a performance by the Mountain Road Marching Band at 3pm,” the spokesperson said.
“It is truly fitting that Sean will officially open this year’s festival as he and his family have enjoyed unprecedented support in Leitrim in the last number of years when the Quinn family were vilified and tortured by those with vested interests.”
The address will be followed by a concert from Mick Flavin and others.
